2. Visiting the website

The website consists of fixed pages without sign-in and without input fields. It is delivered from web space of IONOS SE, Montabaur (Germany). Each visit produces technically necessary data: IP address, time, requested address, browser and operating system. They are used to deliver the pages and to fend off attacks, and are stored only briefly (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interest in a reachable and secure website). We have a data processing agreement with IONOS.

Fonts, images and scripts of the website come from our own server. We do not use any analytics or tracking services.

The operator writes the recipes on the website personally. We translate the English versions with DeepL (DeepL SE, Cologne); only the recipe texts go to DeepL, no information about visitors. The "Add to MealCrew" button is an ordinary link to the web app; nothing is transmitted unless you click it.

Stars on recipe pages. When you open a recipe page, your browser asks our database (Supabase, see the app privacy policy) for the average and number of stars of that recipe so that new ratings show up immediately. Supabase receives your IP address and the recipe identifier, but no cookies and no referring page address (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interest in up-to-date ratings). We store nothing about you for this; Supabase logs requests technically for a short time only. The answer never says who rated. We have a data processing agreement with Supabase; the data is stored in the EU (Frankfurt am Main).

3. Cookies

The website sets no cookies.

4. Links

The website links to the web app, to Google Play and to social networks. If you follow such a link you leave the website; the privacy policy of that service then applies.

5. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21) and to withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)). Please contact us at the email address above. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the one where you live.

The German version is legally binding.
